Get to Know Dr. Liz
Originally hailing from New York, Dr. Liz has a natural sense of awe and wonder at the world around her. She has dabbled in countless hobbies, from baking to being a makeup artist and spending hours at science fairs. But of all her interests, healthcare continued to take the cake. She knew she wanted a career that helped others while tapping into her limitless creativity. That’s when she headed to Bennington College in Vermont, where she majored in both inorganic chemistry and ceramics. During her first year of school, she jumped into a job as an assistant for her childhood dentist and quickly discovered orthodontics was the career path she had always been searching for; the perfect blend of science, technology, and art.
With over 11 years of intense schooling and specialized training, Dr. Liz’s dedication to excellence is truly unmatched. She went on to graduate as the number one dental student in her class at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She then completed her General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center and was accepted to the competitive three-year Bronx Lebanon Hospital Orthodontic Program, where she was awarded the chief resident position.
In a pool of only 1% of orthodontists, Dr. Liz completed her two-year fellowship in complex craniofacial orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, sleep apnea, TMJ management, and pre-prosthetics treatment.
Today, Dr. Liz is making orthodontics more fun in Asheville, NC as the owner, founder, and orthodontist behind her dream practice. More than just moving teeth, her mission is to create a lighthearted, comfortable space that people genuinely enjoy coming to. She loves connecting with her patients, hearing their stories, and taking their confidence to a whole new level with a dazzling smile.
Both inside and outside the office, Dr. Liz makes the most of every moment. In her spare time, you can usually catch her cooking and eating all the things, pickling and fermenting, making pottery (mugs are her favorite!), planning her next tattoo, or going to a concert. Oh, and smothering her precious pup and supportive husband with hugs whenever she gets the chance.
